Patrol Deputy Sheriff
POST Certification required for Patrol Deputies.
Salary: $80,412 - $104,416
Position:
A Patrol Deputy is a law enforcement position that requires competency in detecting and investigating criminal activity; enforcement of local, state and federal laws; preparation of accurate reports to help in follow-up investigation, criminal and civil court, and in department investigations. All assignments require rotating shifts since the Sheriff’s Office functions 24-hours a day, seven (7) days a week.

Detective/Investigations, Drug Task Force, Canine Team (K9), SWAT Team (Special Weapons and Tactics), STRIKE Team (High Impact Task Force), FET (Field Evidence Technician/Crime Scene Investigation), FTO (Field Training Officer), Drone Pilot, Honor Guard, Bomb Squad

Detention Deputy Sheriff
Salary: $80,412 - $104,416
Position:
Detention Deputy I is an entry level law enforcement position in which you will receive training to competently work one of three general post assignments: booking, housing units, and roving.

SWAT Team (Special Weapons and Tactics), FET (Field Evidence Technician/Crime Scene Investigation), FTO (Field Training Officer), Drone Pilot, Honor Guard, Courts, and Training Instructor (Firearms, Defensive Tactics, OC, CED)

Lateral Transfers
Salary: Starting Salary Maximum $90,500
POST Certification required for Lateral Patrol Deputies.
Position:
Lateral Transfers must have a minimum of 12 months experience in a Detention or Patrol Deputy position, or equivalent, a passing evaluation score, and successful completion of the current job knowledge test.
